Currently the Puppet Company is resting whilst we decide exactly what to do next.
We are hoping to start our next project early in the new year but require people who already have some particular skills ie design, construction, sculpture, costume or prop making.
Could this be you?
The Blakehay Puppet Company
The Blakehay Puppet Company was formed in March 2006 and presented its first production The Elves and the Shoe maker on 3rd August 2006.
This production included several puppet techniques including hand puppets, hand-and-rod puppets and Bunraku.
Bunraku is a style of puppetry that originated in Japan in the 1600s. A Bunraku style puppet is worked in full view of the audience, the performers sometimes wear black.

We have been fortunate at the Blakehay to have some of the countries top puppet performers including Story Box Theatre - Rod Burnett. Puppet Craft - John Roberts. Hand to Mouth Puppet Theatre Martin Brindle.
